In the southern regions of Ukraine, there is a shortage of equipment to restore the energy system

The electricity situation in the Odesa region is complicated by the fact that equipment is needed to restore the infrastructure. This was stated by Oleksandr Kharchenko, director of the Energy Research Center, during a briefing at the Ukraine Media Center.

“We need 110 kV transformers and other types of transformers that are necessary to restore distribution networks. Because in the southern regions, there are two key problems: strikes on distribution networks, where the first protections are only being completed, and strikes on heating systems,” he said.

Oleksandr Kharchenko emphasized that such attacks once again show that preparations for winter should focus on the heating system and its protection.
