“In the PACE, Ukraine Works on Implementing Second-Level Sanctions against Russian Officials,” Head of Ukraine’s Permanent Delegation to the PACE

Ukrainian delegates in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe promote second-level sanctions against russian officials. They will affect lower-level officials—mayors and regional governors, rather than top officials or oligarchs. They will apply to everyone who supports putin’s regime. Maria Mezentseva, Head of the Permanent Delegation of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, stated this during her briefing at Ukraine Media Center. 

She commented that no sanctions had been applied yet against lower-level officials and propagandists, such as one of the managers of russia’s TASS news agency.

“The European Union established working groups to develop the sanctions. Therefore, they will be implemented for sure,” Maria Mezentseva emphasized.
