In Sumy oblast, the enemy avoids using heavy equipment, relies on small infantry groups – SBGS spokesperson
The length of the border with russia in the Sumy oblast is approximately 550 kilometers. The enemy has been most active in the areas of Khotyn and Yunakivka communities. Andrii Demchenko, spokesperson for the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, stated this during a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine.
“In these defensive zones, together with units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, our border guards prevent the enemy from advancing deeper into our territory. We use artillery and drones to destroy the enemy. The enemy does not deploy heavy equipment here – only small infantry groups tasked with moving forward. However, despite their attempts, they suffer losses and fail to achieve any results,” he said.
According to Demchenko, AFU units are also counterattacking the enemy in these sectors.
