In some regions, the sowing campaign is two to three weeks behind schedule – All-Ukrainian Agrarian Council

The sowing campaign has already started in the southern regions of the country. In the central and northern regions, field work will start with a delay of several weeks. Farmers assure that this is not catastrophic. This was stated during a briefing at the Ukraine Media Center by Denys Marchuk, deputy chairman of the All-Ukrainian Agrarian Council. 

“The delay in the start of field work is not catastrophic, but farmers will have to work more intensively and complete all work within 45-50 days. We plan to reach last year’s figures of 13 million hectares of spring crops,” said the expert. 

According to Marchuk, producers plan to focus on export-oriented crops.
