In September, the Border Guards recorded over 3,500 enemy shelling attacks in the Chernihiv, Sumy and Kharkiv Oblasts
Most of the shelling attacks recorded by the border guards were carried out by the enemy in the Sumy Oblast.
“The situation on the border with russia remains difficult. The enemy continues to shell the territory of Ukraine almost every day. In September alone, our border patrols, border guard units and groups recorded more than 3,500 enemy attacks on the territory of the Chernihiv, Sumy and Kharkiv Oblasts. Most of the attacks took place in the Sumy sector,” Andrii Demchenko noted.
According to Demchenko, the enemy primarily uses artillery, but recently there has been an increase in the use of attack drones to shell Ukrainian border areas. Most of the attacks took place in populated areas, and the enemy continues to target civilians. In the Sumy sector, the enemy is actively using aviation to carry out attacks.
