In June, IDPs in Odesa region received UAH 342 million (EUR 8.4 million) in housing assistance
The money was accrued to over hundred thousand of internally displaced persons. These data were provided by Tetyana Dementieva, director of the department of social and family policy of the Odesa regional military administration, at a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine – Odesa.
“In June 112146 IDPs received housing allowances in the amount of UAH 342 (EUR 8.4 million) million, there are no debts for previous periods,” – the official said.
She added that as of today, 224692 people have registered in Odesa region, including 57701 children. More than half of them, 154062 people, came to Odesa region since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.
“As of today, 2011 people, including 335 children and 118 people with disabilities, have been evacuated from the flooded areas due to the undermining of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant dam. 1517 people stayed with relatives in Odesa, 314 people found shelter in places of compact residence. 47 people left the country. 133 people to other cities of Ukraine. All evacuees received one-time cash payments and humanitarian aid,” – the official said.
She noted that as of today, there are 9993 vacant places for accommodation (flats, houses, etc.) in Odesa region, including 2788 vacant places in places of compact residence.
