In June 2022, annual consumer inflation rate accelerated to 21.5%, Olena Korobkova, Chair of the Board of the Independent Association of the Banks of Ukraine said at a briefing at Media Center Ukraine.
“Today, inflation is a challenge not only for Ukraine. This is a challenge for the whole world. And, because of the war, Ukraine, of course, feels this especially acutely. In June of this year, annual consumer inflation rate accelerated to 21.5%. By comparison, in May, it was 18%. On a monthly basis, prices increased by 3.1%,” — Olena Korobkova pointed out.
The expert also noted that the losses from war-related operational risks in the banking system amounted to approximately UAH 6.6 billion, and this amount can grow further.
