In 2022, Odesa residents donated 20% more blood than in 2021
Currently, the region is fully supplied with donor blood, Maryna Tkachenko, medical director of the Odesa Regional Blood Transfusion Station, said this during a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine-Odesa.
“There is a 20% increase in donations in the region compared to 2021. Our donors are heroes, they work and provide the region with blood. We also help Kherson and Mykolaiv and provide mobile medical brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” Maryna Tkachenko said.
She also called on peoples to become donors, because all blood groups are needed, even common ones.
“You can donate blood in Odesa Regional Blood Transfusion Station and in four large departments. These are the regional clinical medical hospital, children’s clinical hospital, city hospital No. 11 and Odesa regional clinical medical center,” Maryna Tkachenko said.
