Implementing the Law on Multiple Citizenship requires amending over 20 Ukrainian laws

Draft laws aimed at resolving legal conflicts are currently under consideration in the Verkhovna Rada.

Paul M. Grod, President of the Ukrainian World Congress, stated this during a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine.

“Amendments to over 20 Ukrainian laws that contradict the Law on Multiple Citizenship are currently necessary. It was fundamental for us to ensure a single class of Ukrainian citizens where everyone has equal rights and responsibilities. Many laws currently prevent Ukrainians with dual citizenship from participating in public service,” Grod said.
