
Implants that grow with young patients: State funding for transpedicular implantation development
As of today, Medical Procurement of Ukraine has received a significant budget increase of UAH 3.2 billion. This additional funding will be used in the fourth quarter to purchase over 400 new items for treatment and diagnostics.
Oleg Klots, the general manager of the state enterprise Medical Procurement of Ukraine, announced this during a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine.
“Our total budget for this year is UAH 14.4 billion. Funds amounting to UAH 3.2 billion will be directed toward adult and pediatric oncology, rare diseases, pediatric prosthetics, hemophilia, blood donation supplies, and other essential items. Also, part of the funds will be spent on transpedicular implantation, where a child receives an implant, the child grows and the implant grows with them,” he said.
