IAEA detects no violations at nuclear power plants in occupied territories – Oleksandr Kharchenko

Summer traditionally marks the season for maintenance at nuclear power plants. As of today, all repairs are proceeding as scheduled and under control, according to Oleksandr Kharchenko, director of the Energy Industry Research Center, who spoke at a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine.

“Nothing unusual is occurring during the maintenance work. The IAEA is monitoring the situation at the plants located in occupied territories, and we have not observed any concerns,” he stated.

The expert noted that the maintenance schedule had been optimized to ensure repairs are carried out smoothly and without disruptions.
