HPV vaccines and multi-component formulas: Ministry of Health explains update to vaccination schedule

A new preventive vaccination schedule will take effect in Ukraine on January 1, 2026.

Ihor Kuzin, Deputy Minister of Health, Chief State Sanitary Doctor of Ukraine, outlined the changes during a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine.

“First, we are introducing new vaccines, including one against human papillomavirus. Second, several vaccines will now be administered earlier in a child’s life, notably those for measles, tuberculosis, and BCG. Third, we are gradually shifting to multicomponent vaccines, which allow children to receive broader protection in a single doctor’s visit,” Kuzin explained.
