Hepatitis A outbreak in Kyiv: 65 cases confirmed in Vidradnyi, including 31 children
An outbreak of hepatitis A has been confirmed in Kyiv’s Solomianskyi district, with a total of 65 cases reported as of the morning of Friday, May 16.
The update was provided by Nataliia Hunchenko, Deputy Director General of the Kyiv Center for Diseases Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, during a press briefing.
“As of this morning, we have the highest number of cases in Kyiv – 65 individuals, including 31 children. All are located in the Solomianskyi district, specifically in the Vidradnyi neighborhood,” she stated.
According to Hunchenko, current data indicate that the outbreak is concentrated within a single district of Kyiv.
