Heat will be restored to Kyiv residents by the end of the day; the situation on the Right Bank is more complex – Energy Industry Research Center

A massive strike on the Kyiv energy hub occurred overnight. The strike concentrated on the Left Bank and key heat and power supply facilities. Oleksandr Kharchenko, Director of the Energy Industry Research Center, stated this at the Media Center Ukraine.

“There were strikes on substations and thermal power plants overnight. The situation is currently being assessed, and repairs are underway. The focus is on restoring heating, as part of Kyiv is without it. I hope that by the end of the day, most Kyiv residents will have heat again. The Left Bank is being restored faster. The situation on the Right Bank may be more complex,” he said.
