Health Ministry reveals what Ukraine lacks in order to access the European pharmaceutical market

Maryna Slobodnichenko, Deputy Minister of Health for European Integration, stated this during a  briefing at the Media Center Ukraine.

“For Ukrainian medicines to be recognized on the European market, we require GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) certification. This is an area where we still have some ground to cover.  However, we’re actively working to demonstrate our manufacturers’ compliance with all European requirements,” she said.

Slobodnichenko added that this is a mutually beneficial requirement because European manufacturers will also need to obtain compliance to operate in the Ukrainian market.
