Gas Supply Is Restored in 11 Communities of Donetsk Region Partially, in 9 Communities — Completely; in 10 Communities, the Restoration Is Not Possible Now — Pavlo Kyrylenko
Due to the fact that the enemy tracks people’s movement to the locations of gas pipelines and acts to kill, it is still impossible to restore gas supply in some communities of the Donetsk region. Pavlo Kyrylenko, Head of Donetsk Oblast Military Administration, made this statement during the briefing in Media Center Ukraine — Ukrinform.
“If we take along the front line, the most critical are Marinka, Krasnohorivka, Velyka Novosilka community, Vuhledar city, our courageous long-suffering city of Avdiivka, Toretsk, Bakhmut, Siversk, Soledar cities. That is, the north-eastern part of the region. These are the communities where gas and electricity supply cannot be restored now. Gas pipelines run along the front line: when the enemy observes any movement, even of the civilian population, or repair teams, it acts to kill. If gas pipelines have been restored, the enemy hits them where they pass. Now in 11 territorial communities, gas supply is partially restored; in 9 communities, it is completely restored, and we have 10 territorial communities, where gas supply cannot be restored for the reasons that I indicated,” Pavlo Kyrylenko said.
The Head of Oblast Military Administration said that the authorities provide residents with alternative sources of heating.
“Where people refuse to leave, the authorities provide the necessary number of alternative heating sources — metal stoves. Communities received a state budget subsidy. It was transferred for the purchase of firewood and solid fuel, so that people could warm up,” Pavlo Kyrylenko added.
