Fires extinguished after russian strike on Kyiv, emergency work underway – SES

Rescue teams have put out all fires sparked by russia’s morning attack on the Ukrainian capital, authorities confirmed.

Oleksandr Khorunzhyi, press secretary for the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, provided the update during a briefing at Media Center Ukraine.

“All fires caused by the morning attack have been extinguished. In the Obolon district, emergency restoration work is ongoing at an office building, where overhanging structures that pose a danger to people are being removed. Meanwhile, in the Kyiv region, firefighters are still working to extinguish a fire at a non-residential building,” he stated.

Khorunzhyi added that rescue operations were conducted in Obolon, Holosiivskyi, Sviatoshynskyi, and Solomianskyi districts.

In total, more than 120 rescuers and 30 units of equipment were deployed to handle the aftermath.
