Financial monitoring blocked funds intended as bail for one of the defendants in the “Mindich case”

After the disclosure of information in the “Mindich case,” financial monitoring began to work better, but there is still room for improvement.

This was stated by Semen Kryvonos, Director of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine, at the Ukraine Media Center.

“After the situation became public (the Mindich case – ed.), the situation with financial monitoring improved significantly. The amount intended as bail for one of the suspects, who is currently in custody, was blocked. Financial monitoring blocked these funds,” said Semen Kryvonos.

Currently, detectives and prosecutors from anti-corruption agencies are working on information about how bail was paid for other suspects and the origin of these funds.
