Fedir Venislavskyi explained what the funds from the “defense reserve” will be used for

The draft state budget for 2026 allocates 200 billion hryvnia for a “defense reserve”, a key innovation in defense spending.

Fedir Venislavskyi, an MP and member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense, and Intelligence, announced this at the Media Center Ukraine.

“These funds will be allocated to the most critical defense needs. The war has taken on a technological nature, and requirements often change within a few months. This is precisely why reserve funds are provided — they will be used for areas that enhance defense capabilities,” the MP explained.
