Expert: Only 17% of Ukrainian enterprises report readiness for future blackouts

Currently, only 17% of the country’s businesses are ready for potential future power outages, while another 40% are in the midst of preparations.

These findings were shared by Andrii Dlihach, Doctor of Economics and CEO of Advanter Group, during a discussion at the Media Center Ukraine.

“Just 17% of companies report being prepared for further shutdowns,” Dlihach stated. “Another 40% are in the process of getting ready. Unfortunately, the remainder either plan to be prepared by mid-summer or see no viable options at all.”

Dlihach also highlighted that, in terms of strategies to overcome energy supply issues, half of the businesses are adapting through scheduling rather than installing additional capacities. The other half have already installed or are in the process of installing diesel or gasoline generators.
