“Evacuation of Civilians from Donbas Is Hindered,” Humanitarian Corridor Effort Coordinator from the Office of the President of Ukraine

The evacuation of people from the Donbas is hindered because the invaders have become more active and are shelling cities and towns. There is little humanitarian aid in warehouses. Tetiana Lomakina, Humanitarian Corridor Effort Coordinator with the Office of the President of Ukraine, made this statement during her briefing in Media Center Ukraine.

“The evacuation is extremely difficult. First, one needs to negotiate a ceasefire to create an opportunity to open humanitarian corridors. Our negotiation team will focus on exactly that to make sure that one can resume the evacuation of civilians to safer regions of Ukraine,” Tetiana Lomakina summarized.
