Evacuation from Kherson City Continues; We Urge People to Wait Out in Safer Regions – Deputy of the Oblast Council

Evacuation from Kherson continues: residents can leave by rail or road. Serhii Khlan, Deputy of Kherson Oblast Council, made this statement during the briefing in the Media Center Ukraine — Ukrinform.

“I visited the railway station before the train left for Kyi with evacuation cars, which later go to Khmelnytskyi. Such evacuation continues daily. There are a lot of those who wish; therefore, extra cars are constantly being added. Motor-car evacuation, mainly to Kryvyi Rih and Kropyvnytskyi, is also available. Also, people leave on their own: those who have a financial opportunity go to Mykolaiv and Odesa. It is quite dangerous to stay in Kherson city. The explosions sound constantly. Therefore, we urge people to wait out in safer regions whenever possible,” Serhii Khlan said.
