Europe and Ukraine can no longer rely on the Trump administration as a partner – International Centre for Defence and Security

The global community must create realities for russia that it will be forced to accept. At the same time, Europe and Ukraine must rely on their own resources because the United States is no longer a reliable partner. 

James Sherr, a Senior Fellow at the International Centre for Defence and Security, expressed this opinion during the Fourth International Forum of the International Crimea Platform Expert Network.

“We can no longer rely upon the Trump administration to be the foundation of Western security because we can no longer be sure that they will remain our reliable security partner. So, Europe and Ukraine must work together, gradually developing their own resources and their own possibilities,” Sherr noted.

He added that the international community must deprive russia of its military power.
