Energy efficiency could become a sector for veteran employment

A new Law on Veteran Entrepreneurship, set to take effect in January 2026, will complement social adaptation measures.

Taras Tarasenko, Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Social Policy and Protection of Veterans’ Rights, made this statement during a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine.

“When communicating with veterans, we ask, ‘What is important to you?’ They place social adaptation last while defining financial stability as a priority. We are working to ensure that veterans have time to recover their health, as well as time to achieve financial stability. The energy efficiency sector could be a potential field of work for veterans,” he said.
