Enemy uses Ukraine’s Azov Sea ports for smuggling, – Dmytro Pletenchuk

The enemy regularly employs a shadow fleet to smuggle goods through ports in the Sea of Azov, according to Dmytro Pletenchuk, Head of the Center for Strategic Communications of the Defense Forces of the South, during a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine – Ukrinform.

“They continue to use Ukraine’s Sea of Azov ports to export stolen goods. Surprisingly, they still find items to take. They typically utilize a shadow fleet that avoids standard ports, transporting goods from Mariupol and Berdiansk to their ports,” Pletenchuk said.

He highlighted that the occupiers’ main objective is “to export our grain and metal, exploiting this waterway for their own benefit.”
