Enemy strikes hotel in Kryvyi Rih: search and rescue operations underway, two people may be trapped under rubble

As a result of a rocket attack on a hotel in Kryvyi Rih, two people were killed and five were injured. Two more people may be trapped under the rubble. Search and rescue operations are currently underway.

Oleksandr Khorunzhiy, Press Officer of the State Emergency Service made this statement during a briefing at Media Center Ukraine.

“In general, in the period from 8:00 PM to 12:00 AM, 9 people were injured: 5 in Dnipropetrovsk region, 4 in Kharkiv region. Two people died in Dnipropetrovsk region. In general, these are figures from Kryvyi Rih, where the enemy attacked the hotel where our rescuers are currently working. A 4-story building was partially destroyed, 2 people died there, 5 sustained injuries of varying degrees of severity. Search and rescue operations are currently ongoing. Two people are likely still trapped under the rubble,” said Oleksandr Khorunzhiy.

He added that 6 stores, 4 apartment buildings and 8 cars were also damaged in this attack. In addition to rescuers, climbers of the State Emergency Service and canine units are at work on the site, as well as psychologists providing assistance to the victims.
