Enemy deliberately targets populated areas in the border regions

The Sumy, Chernihiv, and Kharkiv oblasts are border regions where the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine has recorded the highest number of shellings. Andrii Demchenko, the SBGS spokesperson, stated this during a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine.

“The enemy’s attacks are targeting not only Ukrainian defense positions, but also populated areas. The enemy is using artillery and mortars, as well as increasingly active drone strikes. We’ve seen a significant rise in drone attacks this year,” he said.

The Kharkiv and Sumy oblasts are also suffering from enemy air raids.
