Electricity imports fall short of restoring energy flows to Ukraine’s Left Bank, energy expert says

Ukraine continues to import electricity, but the supply is insufficient to stabilize the grid in some eastern regions, officials say. Oleksandr Kharchenko, director of the Center for Energy Research Industry, discussed the challenges during a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine.

“Damage to the grid prevents us from channeling electricity to the Left Bank. Restoration work is ongoing, but attacks every two to three weeks make it impossible for us to keep up,” Kharchenko said
