Economic impact of NABU and SAPO activities within first half of 2024 amounts to UAH 3.7 billion – Semen Kryvonos
In the first half of this year, the economic impact of the work carried out by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO) amounted to UAH 3.7 billion.
Semen Kryvonos, Director of the NABU, made this statement during a briefing at Media Center Ukraine.
“The figures and results of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office clearly indicate an important trend: we are continuously increasing our efficiency and steadily uncovering more crimes. The numbers speak for themselves – 166 suspects in the first half of the year, 64 indictments regarding 131 persons sent to the High Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine, and an economic impact of UAH 3.7 billion. However, it’s not just about the numbers; it’s also about the quality of the agencies’ work and the high-profile nature of the crimes uncovered by NABU and SAPO. These are our most significant and serious priorities,” said Semen Kryvonos.
