During the Full-Scale War, the Rivne Region Played Host to 84,000 Internally Displaced Persons, and Now 59,230 Displaced Persons Stay in the Region — Oblast Military Administration
In winter, the Rivne region did not experience the large influx of migrants that it expected. Vitaliy Koval, Head of Rivne Oblast Military Administration, made this statement during the briefing in Media Center Ukraine — Ukrinform.
“Population of the Rivne region numbers approximately 1,200,000 people today. This is 47,000 more than it was before February 24. The region played host to 84,000 IDPs. As of this morning, 59,230 internally displaced persons have stayed. A certain migration occurs daily: up to 100 new IDPs can arrive, and 150–200 can leave. This is a normal process, and it is consistent. Today we do not see a large influx of migrants, although we expected more with the beginning of winter. This is a sign of stabilization of the situation in other regions. Therefore, I would call it stable in the Rivne region too,” Vitaliy Koval said.
