During first half of 2023, small and medium-sized businesses in Odesa region paid taxes for almost UAH 9 billion (approx 217 millions euros)
Compared to the same period last year, this figure increased by almost 50%. Oleksiy Dmytrenko, interim director of the Odesa regional economic department, said this at a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine – Odesa.
“Between January and June 2023, small and medium-sized businesses paid UAH 8,784.6 million (approx 217 millions euros) in taxes and mandatory payments to budgets of all levels, which is 30.3% of total tax revenues excluding customs duties,” – the official said.
He added that the largest share of taxes is paid by wholesale and retail trade (26.6%), industry (16.9%), agriculture (13.2%), and transportation (14.8%).
