Due to the war in the Middle East, the cost of cultivating one hectare by Ukrainian farmers will increase by 1,400 hryvnia – All-Ukrainian Agrarian Council

In addition to rising prices for mineral fertilizers, Ukrainian farmers should also prepare for higher fuel prices. This was stated during a briefing at the Ukraine Media Center by Denys Marchuk, deputy chairman of the All-Ukrainian Agrarian Council.

“There is a problem with fuel. Before the events (in Iran – ed.), the purchase price for agricultural producers was 55 hryvnia per liter of diesel fuel. Today, it is 79 hryvnia per liter. This will be an additional burden on the enterprise during cultivation in the region of 1,400 hryvnia per hectare. This is particularly acute for small producers,” he said.
