Drop in enemy attacks in Southern Ukraine over past two days, Dmytro Pletenchuk reports
There has been a decrease in enemy attacks in southern Ukraine over the past two days, though Russian forces have renewed attempts to launch fresh pushes along Ukrainian military positions.
Dmytro Pletenchuk, Head of the Center for Strategic Communications of the Defense Forces of the South, reported this during a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine – Ukrinform.
“Yesterday, they tried to pummel our positions again, specifically in two directions: Orikhiv and Dnipro. We can observe a certain decrease in tension. Previously, we experienced up to 20 attacks daily, but in the last two days, for instance, there were 12 attacks yesterday. Half of these were unsuccessful in the Orikhiv sector, and the other half in the Kherson region—five attacks on Krynky and one attempt to intensify its efforts on Nestryha Island,” Pletenchuk stated.
