Domestic NPPs working hard to prepare for operation in autumn-winter period – Oleh Korikov

Currently, a repair campaign is underway at Ukrainian nuclear power plants. Out of 9 reactors controlled by Ukraine, 6 have already been repaired, and three more reactors are undergoing repairs.

Oleh Korikov, Acting Chairman – Chief State Inspector for Nuclear and Radiation Safety of Ukraine, made this statement during a briefing at Media Center Ukraine – Ukrinform.

“The repair campaign continues. Out of 9 reactors controlled by Ukraine, 6 have already been repaired, and three more reactors are under repair. The relevant organizational and administrative documents have been signed, the relevant decisions have been adopted. Domestic nuclear power plants are working hard to prepare for operation in the autumn-winter period. We do not foresee any security-related problems in this particular area,” Oleh Korikov emphasized.
