Crimea Platform Expert Network’s Forum offers opportunities to put forward new recommendations to hold russia responsible – Olha Skrypnyk
The Fourth International Forum of the International Crimea Platform Expert Network, the group’s premier expert-led annual gathering, convened in Kyiv. This year’s event brought together Ukrainian officials, international partners, and civil society leaders to chart new approaches for holding russia accountable for crimes committed in occupied Crimea.
Olha Skrypnyk, chair of the Crimean Human Rights Group, opened the forum, highlighting its role in elaborating new measures to bring russia to justice.
“The forum serves as a platform to unite efforts by Ukraine, international allies, and civil society to secure safety guarantees, pursue justice for international crimes committed by russia, and work toward accountability and redress,” Skrypnyk said. “It’s about finding practical solutions and drafting recommendations.”
The forum was organized by the Crimea Platform Expert Network with support from the Crimea Platform Office, the Mission of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Ukraine’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People, and Media Center Ukraine, which partnered as the forum’s media host.
