Construction of residential complexes grew by 9% in 2025, but the percentage of commissioned apartments decreased
From January to October of this year, construction began on 187 new residential complexes in Ukraine. This represents a 9% increase compared to the same period last year.
Olena Unanian, head of the Department for Relations with Developers at LUN Real Estate Company, announced this during a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine.
“Since the start of the full-scale invasion, Lviv and its region have been the undisputed leader in residential complex construction. Nearly 60 new residential complexes were launched there in 2025. In Kyiv, the launch of new projects increased by 70% in 2025. Ivano-Frankivsk and Zakarpattia held third and fourth places,” she noted.
According to the expert, the number of apartments actually completed and delivered for occupancy decreased in 2025. Specifically, just over 40,000 apartments were commissioned for use across Ukraine this year, which is 9% less than the previous year.
