Civil society working to secure licensing for volunteers in medical evacuation
The Association of First Aid and Tactical Medicine Operators and Instructors has entered a phase of active collaboration with the state. Two key projects are currently underway: the state-level qualification of first aid operators and instructors and the licensing of non-governmental organizations for evacuation operations.
Leonid Fedorovsky, chairman of the board of the Association, announced this during a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine.
“Ukraine has finally established the relevant professions and now has non-governmental qualification centers in the field of medicine that can certify operators’ knowledge levels. The second program focuses on obtaining licenses for non-governmental evacuation practices. This is a critical issue, as for many years, non-governmental organizations involved in medical evacuation have operated in Ukraine without clearly defined status. We hope this process will be operational by next year,” he stated.
Fedorovsky expressed hope that the state will enhance its collaboration with non-governmental stakeholders on this matter.
