By the 10th session, anti-reform MPs in Verkhovna Rada’s 9th term drop significantly, according to recent research findings

The percentage of reform-minded legislators has increased with each session, while the share of anti-reform MPs has decreased.

Dariia Kolodiazhna, a data analyst for Vox Ukraine’s Reform Index project, presented these findings at the Media Center Ukraine.

The data reveals the following trends in the classification of MPs into reformers, moderate reformers, and anti-reformers:

– 2nd session: 30% reformers, 46% moderate reformers, 24% anti-reformers

– 6th session: 32% reformers, 47% moderate reformers, 22% anti-reformers

– 10th session: 38% reformers, 46% moderate reformers, 17% anti-reformers

By the 10th session, the number of anti-reform MPs had nearly halved.

“Currently, we have one of the lowest proportions of anti-reformers, at just 17%. Although this percentage has previously reached 30%, it has never surpassed that threshold during this convocation,” Kolodiazhna highlighted.
