Border crossings by men aged 18-22 is not creating operational strain – State Border Guard Service
Amendments to the border crossing rules for men aged 18 to 22 took effect in August of this year. To cross the border, these men must carry a passport for travelling abroad and a military registration document. These new rules do not apply to men in state service positions. Andrii Demchenko, spokesman of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, stated this at the Media Center Ukraine.
“The State Border Guard Service does not maintain statistics by age category, and this applies to any age group. It is important to understand that this category does not constitute a large share of the total passenger flow. It also does not create a strain on the flow of passengers,” he said.
Demchenko also emphasized that, while significant public attention is focused on the departure of men aged 18-22, these individuals are returning to Ukraine as well.
