At least 250 Crimeans detained by russia for political reasons – Crimean Human Rights Group

At least 250 Ukrainian citizens are being detained by the russian occupiers in the temporarily occupied Crimea and within russia due to politically motivated persecution.

This was reported by Olha Skrypnyk, chairwoman of the Crimean Human Rights Group, during a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine.

“If we talk about Crimea, in 2024, according to our data, at least 250 of our citizens are currently behind bars due to politically motivated persecution. Some of them are in Crimea, while others have already been transferred to the russian federation,” she said.
