As little as 10% of Ukrainian communities have information and communication strategy in place

Experts said Ukraine needs a coherent national information policy that extends to local communities. Only 10% of them have independently elaborated their information and communication strategies.

Zhanna Patsiora, director of the Center for Strategic Communications and Regional Studies NGO, said during a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine.

“Only 10% of communities have an information and communication strategy, another 35% are in the process of developing one, and 10% of frontline communities lack the equipment needed to defend against cyberattacks,” Patsiora said. “We plan to contact donors to help provide any equipment.”
