Approximately 500 new COVID-19 cases registered last week
In August, there was a surge of COVID-19, with up to 15,000 cases recorded weekly. Oleksii Danylenko, the deputy director general of the Public Health Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, made this statement at the Media Center Ukraine.
“Currently, we are recording up to 500 new cases per week. That is, the situation has stabilized,” he noted.
To avoid illness, healthcare professionals recommend adhering to basic hygiene rules, disinfecting hands, using personal protective equipment, and promptly consulting a doctor if symptoms appear.
“It is also important to get vaccinated against COVID-19, especially for vulnerable groups and those who work with the public. All regions are fully supplied with vaccines,” Danylenko added.
