Topics for discussion:
– A real, not just formal, rehabilitation system for people released from illegal imprisonment;
– How state policy should be developed in the field of rehabilitation of released civilians.

Why is this important?
Thousands of Ukrainians who have survived illegal imprisonment face new challenges upon their return, ranging from health problems and psychological consequences of torture to complex bureaucratic procedures. Activists have analyzed current legislation and its application in practice and offer their vision of how state policy should be structured in the field of rehabilitation of released civilians – from the first days after release to full reintegration into the community – and what specific decisions and steps need to be taken now.
