Since the beginning of the year, farmers have submitted 225 applications to participate in the state program of compensation for the costs of demining agricultural land. The Center for Humanitarian Demining has rejected 189 applications as non-compliant with legal requirements. By mid-April, 13 auctions had been held with a total value of nearly UAH 291 million. These funds will cover the demining of 4,300 hectares of agricultural land. However, the budget for this program is UAH 3 billion, and the Ministry of Economy is keen to ensure that these funds are used to clear as much farmland as possible. |
