Why is this important?

Drawing on extensive research, the scholars trace the genesis of the Ukrainian language and debunk myths about the “triune roots” of Ukrainian, russian, and Belarusian languages. The authors also demonstrate that russian only began appearing in literary records by the 14th century.

The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2025 will be held in Tbilisi, Georgia, marking the second time the country hosts the event. The final will take place on December 13.
Last year, 12-year-old Artem Kotenko from Okhtyrka, Sumy oblast, represented Ukraine with his song “Hear Me Now.” He secured third place, the country’s best result in 11 years, earning 203 points in total: 122 from the jury and 81 from the public vote.
