Why this is interesting: Land reform in Ukraine was introduced in 2021. It also enabled citizens and businesses to buy and lease land plots via transparent online auctions. This ensures transparency and openness of both the agreements and land plot management. Within about a year and a half of the implementation of the land reform, a year of which passed in the shadow of the full-scale invasion, land auctions allowed Ukraine to earn more than 1 billion of profits for the budgets of various levels. This opens up new opportunities for the development of the agricultural industry and infrastructure in Ukraine.
