Why is it important? In late May 2025, a Ukrainian delegation traveled to the Netherlands and Belgium as part of the Women, Peace, and Security Agenda Brings Results Locally in Ukraine project. The initiative, led by the Ukrainian Women’s Fund in partnership with the international gender platform WO=MEN (The Hague), was supported by the Government of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The delegation shared Ukraine’s progress in localizing UN Security Council Resolution 1325 and explored ways to incorporate a comprehensive, gender-sensitive approach to security centered on the needs of women, internally displaced persons, and vulnerable communities into public policy and local governance. |
