Andrii Nadzhos: The Orange Revolution and the Revolution of Dignity are key crossroads where we turned in the right direction

The Orange Revolution and the Revolution of Dignity became key crossroads for Ukraine in choosing the path for its future.

This perspective was shared by Andrii Nadzhos, Deputy Minister of Culture and Strategic Communications of Ukraine for European Integration, at the Media Center Ukraine.

“These two revolutions, indeed for the international community and the European Union – since my main focus is on European integration – I think they have become a cornerstone. I mean, these are the key crossroads where we have turned in the right direction. Of course, we paid a high price and we are still paying it. But without these two events, we would not have a great European future,” he said.

He noted that Europe and the world understand who Ukrainians are and accept the country’s choice.

“That is why Europe and the world recognize who we are, and they have accepted this choice. In 2022, we were given the opportunity to integrate into the European Union. Today we are talking about things that were impossible two or three years ago. Today they are a reality for us. In 2019, we enshrined our priorities for European and Euro-Atlantic integration in our Constitution. So, as we bow our heads in memory of those who died in these tragic events, I would like to say that these sacrifices were not in vain. Our children will indeed be grateful to us for this, for our generation has made the right historic choice,” he stressed.
