An analytical report titled “Territory of Lawlessness” was presented in Kyiv

At the Ukraine Media Center, the Regional Center for Human Rights, with financial support from the Czech organization People in Need as part of the SOS Ukraine initiative, presented the analytical report “Territory of Lawlessness.”

The report describes systematic human rights violations, abductions, torture of civilians, and Russification in the territories of Ukraine temporarily occupied by the Russian Federation since 2014. The analysis highlights crimes against Ukrainian identity and the need for de-occupation.

Mykita Petrovets, an expert at the NGO “Regional Center for Human Rights,” noted that the Russian legal system operating in the occupied territory is aimed at violating human rights, not protecting them.

“In the occupied territories, Russia has created a climate of terror, effectively forcing Ukrainians to leave their hometowns, which serves as a form of colonization by the aggressor. Ukrainians will be unable to challenge any of Russia’s unlawful actions in the occupiers’ courts,” he said.
