Almost 4,400 law enforcement officers ensured public security and order during May 8-9 – the Ministry of Internal Affairs

The Ministry of Internal Affair reported that a total of 233 events attended by more than 4,700 people had taken place on May 8 in 19 regions of the country (excluding Vinnytsia, Donetsk, Zakarpattia, Luhansk, Kharkiv, and Kherson oblasts).

Almost 4,400 law enforcement officers ensured public security and order during the aforementioned events, including:
– 3,900 police officers;
– 500 servicemen of the National Guard of Ukraine;
– 2,000 SES workers.

On May 9, 2022, a total of 13 events attended by 70 people took place in four regions of the country (Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad, Poltava and Khmelnytskyi oblasts). No emergencies have been reported.

Almost 3,800 law enforcement officers ensured public security and order, including:
– 3,500 police officers;
– 300 servicemen of the National Guard of Ukraine.

In addition, during these days, SES units responded to 119 calls and eliminated 22 fires. Pyrotechnic units neutralized 327 munitions and cleared an area of 15 hectares.
